What I'm Lovin' Right Now... M.A.C Face & Body Foundation

In the past, my biggest struggle with M.A.C foundation has been trying to avoid the infamous "Oompa Loompa Face".For those who are not familiar here's what I'm talking about...
Okay so minus the green hair and white eyebrows this was my face on M.A.C...orange. Originally, after seeing so many rave reviews about it on Youtube, I went in to purchase the Face & Body for my freelance kit. But I didn't want to use anything on my clients that I haven't tried on myself first so I became my own test dummy. I've always been told I'm an NC50(summer or winter)which I still refuse to believe so I was even more skeptical when I went in to try this out and it only came in either shades of "N" or "C".The girl that helped me matched me with "C7",which looks super light in the bottle,I then looked at her like she was crazy but gave it a try anyways.I'm happy to say that this is my new HG foundation. It is a bit pricey at $33 a bottle(which is why I secretly really wanted to hate it,lol) but you get a lot of product. It's water-based and water resistant.I love the fact that it's a sheer but buildable coverage and it does not oxidize as harshly on my skin. The first thing people say is that I look like I'm glowing, not that they love my makeup.I suggest this foundation to those who do not need the same coverage of a cream or full coverage foundation but just wants to even out the skin and have a glow.If you do have this or decide to purchase, let me know about it.Smooches ladies<3

Review:NYX Rouge Cream Blush

Top Row: Hot Pink, Glow(fav), Diva
Bottom Row:Red Cheeks(fav), Orange, Tan(fav)

Hello Beauties,
Today I have a rave/review on NYX Rouge Cream Blushes.I recently purchased these from CherryCulture.com.They were $6.00 each, which is 50 cents less than the NYX site and they had all the colors available. They come in 12 colors but there was only 6 that caught my eye. Let me just start by saying that these blushes are UBER PIGMENTED so you won't need much at all. The colors look a little intimidating in the pan but when applied and blended they provide a natural finish and glow to the skin. For quick application you can use your fingers to warm up the blush or you can use a duo fiber brush.Prior to this I've only used Revlon's Cream Blushes but for a dollar or two less you get way more product and more color options with NYX.One thing that I do suggest is to make sure you moisturize prior to applying these blushes because when used on bare dry skin it looks very ashy. So my final grade for these cream blushes are A+..

#EpicFail-LaceFronts That Make Ya Say "Hmmmm..."

Good Evenin' people,
I hope you'll are enjoyin' the rain. But as you can see above that there is something wrong with each of these pictures. They all contain Lace Front Applications that make you put your hand to your chin and go "Hmmm.." or in my case "Where the *!@k they do that at?" =/
But as you can see even celebs can make that fatal mistake of getting a bad lace job. So again, I am here with my own personal tips on how to keep your lace front wigs lookin' fresh and poppin' and not like they're about to pop off the side of your forehead...like Beyonce's haha =p(Sorry Jay,lol)

Rule #1- As We Learned in 1st Grade Art Class-Cut Along the Dotted Lines

I know for some of you, the discovery of the Lace front wig was your yellow brick road to the hairline you've always wanted.Sorry to be the one to tell ya' Hun, but that just aint gonna cut it. The purpose of the Lace front is to help give a more natural look to your wig. So giving yourself a straight line when you were born with a widow's peak(or devil's point) is well...pointless.. and tryin' to give yourself a smaller forehead by pulling the wig down to just above your eyebrows is NOT a good look...STAY WITH YOUR NATURAL HAIRLINE!!!

Rule #2-Boo,Please put the Baby Hair to bed..ZZzzz

Okay so maybe you do have Indian or In'gine(pronounced "Engine")in your family. But you and me both know that the over-gel'd,over-done baby hair that you have slicked down the side of your temples are not courtesy of the Cherokees or any other tribe you wanna claim. Now I will admit that with proper usage, baby hairs can be used to accentuate a style but there is a such thing as going overboard.

Rule # 3- Lace fronts Don't Always Have To Be Lace fronts

There are some people just can't stand the hassle of a Lace Front(like myself). An alternative can be to wear it as a half wig by simply cutting off your lace and combing your hair over the top. Now keep in mind that with your natural hair showing both color and texture are now a factor. Please do not have your #4 brown hair combed over your #1 jet black hair trying to convince yourself and others that it blends.Or do not attempt to leave your too obvious new growth out trying to "mesh" it together with that Silky Yaki Perm..Who you foolin' mama? Nobodyyy=/ Remember the flat iron is your friend.

Rule #4-This Is NOT a Plaster Job,So Go Easy On The Glue..

You've seen it..We all have. You see the girl with the gorgeous 26 inch hair blowing in the wind.Swingin' from side to side and what can you say,she is definitely workin' it. But as she gets closer, your original thought of "Who does her hair?" turns into "WHO DOES HER HAIR?!?! There is an obvious halo of glue outlining her hairline and again she is trying to act as if she didn't see it there...righttt.. So please if you have to use glue use a light hand and make friends with the glue remover..

P.S Another reason to ho light on the glue is because it can cause breakage at the roots so proceed with caution...

Rule #5-When In Doubt, Leave It Too The Professionals

Lastly but definitely not least. We all know it is a recession and times are hard but some things are not to be done without proper supervision, or at least an honest girlfriend present to say "Uh Huh gurll,You know you wrong.TAKE IT OFF!" So warning to the wise, if you do not have a cosmetology license or extensive practice in the wig area, please do not go outside without a proper wig application.Remember, You're only fooling yourself;)

5 ways Not to Screw up Valentine's Day..I mean Date Night

Hey Ladies,
Okay this started off as a note on my Facebook page titled, "5 ways

Not to Screw Up Your Valentine's Day". Lately, I've realized that alot of

girls not only make these mistakes on Valentine's Day but on regular dates

as well. One piece of advice that I do have is if you are going on a first

date with a guy DO NOT plaster yourself in makeup. The First Date is the

fresh start to something new. Now this does not mean that you can't primp

yourself and make it hot but don't put up a front that you can't and

shouldn't have to keep up. So here's a reminder of those tips,Enjoy;)

Rule 1.This is NOT the day to experiment:

Everybody wants to look fancy for Date Night, ya know hair done, nails done, everything did of course but DO NOT pick the day of to get that short haircut, new weave or new hair color because if its not what you expected it's too late to do anything about it so PLEASE don't do it to yourself...

Rule 2. Don't Go into Makeup Overload:

Ok Im kinda looking out for the guys on this one because let's face it, most guys don't really care about your makeup(sad but true) So don't go makeup crazy even if for one night only...Let your man see you for the night. If anything focus on soft lips and pretty eyes...

Rule 3.Red lipstick aint for EVERYBODY:

This may be my most important tip of all.Just because red lips worked for Marilyn Monroe DOES NOT mean it will work for you, especially if you do not know what you are doing. So DO NOT walk into a store and just pick up a tube of red lipstick and think you can rock it. If you must go for a red lip PLEASE do yourself a favor and go to a counter where they can personally help you decide which shade is best for you and how to make it work.

Rule 4.Put the Lipgloss Downnnn:

This is very simple.Yes glossy shiny lips are sexy but if you are walking around looking like you just had it out with a bucket of fried chicken then it may be a bit too much...okay ALOT too much:/ Dab some on in the center of your lips and keep it moving..

Rule 5.Fake Lashes..Yes ,no...maybe so*kanye shrug*:

False eyelashes makes eyes look flirty and sexy but then again so does mascara. So if you dont know what your doing it can go in the wrong direction. LEAVE IT TO THE PROFESSIONALS..and by professionals I do not mean the people in the nail salon. And again if you must do it yourself dont be cheap and get some 99 cent lash glue and wonder why your lashes end up on the table halfway thru dinner.Spend those few extra dollars and get the good stuff.

Why Go___, When You Can Go____ #1

Hey Beauties;)

So as we all know beauty costs but why break the bank when you don't have to?

Here's a little secret..You don't .I'm going to be introducing a series titled

" Why go_____,When you can go___." Where I do my bestest to find dupes

for some high end brand product you may love or wanna try but just can't

bring yourself to spend that extra cash.Hopefully you dolls love it ;)

First Entry: Why Go MAC, When You Can Go Maybelline..

We all know(or at least we all should know..) that Brows frame the face. These

two brow pencils are similar in style and shape with the exception of the

Maybelline having a convenient brow comb on the end. While I DO NOT own

the MAC pencil, I DO own the Define a Brow version and I LOVE IT!!!! It's

small, slanted tip makes it easy to outline and fill in the brows like a pro.

The MAC brand is priced at $15 and Maybelline Define A Brow can be found

for $5-$6.99 at any of your local drugstores.

Til Next Time,
